Mr. Partin began his law enforcement career in 1989 at the Midland Police Department. He worked as a Cadet, Dispatcher, Patrol Officer, and Detective. He was also a Field Training Officer and SWAT Team Member.
In January 1997, he began his career with the FBI and worked violent gangs in Atlanta. He was on the FBI SWAT Team, became a Sniper/Observer and Firearms Instructor.
In 2004, he was assigned to the El Paso Division, Midland Resident Agency to work violent gangs and drug organizations. The founded and coordinated the West Texas Safe Streets Task Force during that time. He has been on 2 overseas deployments; a training mission to Djibouti, Africa in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and a operational deployment to Afghanistan where he was embedded with Joint Special Operations Command units in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
In 2011, he was assigned as a supervisor to the Law Enforcement Enterprise Portal unit in Clarksburg, WV and in 2015 he became a Unit Chief for the CJIS Division Intelligence Group. During that assignment he worked extensively with the U.S. Intelligence Community.
In 2015 he was assigned as the Supervisory Senior Resident Agent to the Dallas - West Texas Resident Agencies, covering all programs to include National Security and Criminal. Currently this includes the Lubbock and Amarillo areas of responsibility.
